Pricing preliminaries & site overheads

Site establishment, supervision, and commissioning — the costs that aren't in the device count but decide the bid.

Site establishment, supervision, and testing aren't line items on the drawings — here's how they're priced and recovered across the whole BoQ. Related demos: From drawings to a priced tender and Quantity take-off, by discipline.

1

Price the site establishment

Site offices, stores, welfare, and access equipment — the cost of simply being on site, priced from duration, not guessed as a lump.

2

Add supervision & management

The project manager, ELV supervisor, and QA/QC time the package needs — man-months costed at their rates, held apart from device pricing.

3

Carry testing & commissioning

T&C is real labour and instrument time — a defined allowance for point-to-point testing, EN 54 verification, and client witnessing, never absorbed silently.

4

Recover it across the BoQ

Total site overhead is spread as a percentage on the measured works — so every priced line carries its fair share and the tender bottom line stays whole.
